Women on the Move is an 8 week activity programme suited to all age groups and abilities, including a free basic health check on week 1 and 8. The health check includes some/all of the following tests: height, weight, waist circumference, BMI, lung capacity, blood pressure (on request) and various other strength based checks. This health check is private to each individual and is used as a baseline as you start this new physical activity programme.
Each session lasts for one hour and may take place indoors or outdoors depending on the weather. The sessions include fun games and workouts which aim to improve cardiovascular health, strength, flexibility and mobility. Participants are also encouraged to do some activity themselves between sessions. Basic nutrition will also be discussed throughout the eight weeks.
