Recruitment Opportunities (UBU)

Limerick Sports Partnership are advertising for the following position:

Limerick Local Sports Partnership, a company wholly owned by the Local Authority and supported by Sport Ireland have secured funding for the recruitment of a UBU Sports Development Officer on a fixed term contract. The UBU Sport Development Officer will be responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of programmes, interventions, and supports for young people (aged 10-25).  Based on a successful application for continued funding this post will continue into 2027. We are keen to establish a panel based on these interviews. The post holders will work in partnership with the LSP team in delivering all LSP programmes and initiatives with UBU Youth Projects while also supporting team initiatives across Limerick.

The UBU Sports Development Officer will:

• Consult and work with UBU Youth Projects to identify the need and demand for new activities.
• Prioritise marginalised groups to engage and support to increase physical activity engagement.
• Provide guidance and support to develop sustainable community sports groups.
• Tackle local barriers to participation through targeted programmes and initiatives.
