PALs Training

Physical Activity Leaders Training

PALs (Physical Activity Leaders) is an initiative which trains older people how to lead sport and activity sessions in their local groups and communities.

PALs will be trained to lead activities such as short exercise routines, fun games, simple dances, and sports– in active retirement or community groups, local sports clubs, or community centres. PALs are required to attend nine different workshops (five hours each) over 9 weeks and engage in both practical and theory work to ensure they receive all the knowledge and skills to lead their local group in physical activity.

This initiative is free to participants and is delivered by Age and Opportunity in partnership with Limerick Sports Partnership.

For more information please contact Tracy on 061333600 or email tmahedy@limericksports.ie.
