About the Moyross Community Sports Hub

Located in the heart of Moyross, Limerick, the Moyross Community Sports Hub is a key part of the area’s regeneration efforts. Operated through the Moyross Community Enterprise Centre and the Moyross Youth Academy, the hub is supported by Sport Ireland and the Limerick Sports Partnership.

Our mission is to promote physical activity, health, and social inclusion for people of all ages. A dedicated Sports Hub Coordinator leads the development and delivery of programmes in close collaboration with local schools, youth groups, and community organisations—ensuring that sport and physical activity become an everyday part of life in Moyross.

What We Offer

The Moyross Community Sports Hub runs a wide range of activities and events throughout the year, including:

Physical Activity Programmes
We offer year-round fitness classes led by local tutors. Sessions are open to all levels—whether you’re just starting out or more experienced—and are designed to be flexible so you can join when it suits you. Programmes run in 5–6 week blocks as well as continuously throughout the year, pausing only for holidays.
Inclusive Community Engagement
We work with a diverse range of groups—from local schools and teenagers to older adults and the wider community. In partnership with various local services, we deliver programmes that aim to get everyone in Moyross moving and involved.
Outdoor Sports Facilities
Our public outdoor astroturf pitch and basketball hoop, located at the Moyross Community Enterprise Centre, offer accessible spaces for sport and outdoor play.
Gym Access
A fully equipped gym at the Moyross Youth Academy is open to residents of Moyross and surrounding areas such as Ballynanty, Kileely, and Thomondgate. The gym operates three mornings a week and welcomes users of all fitness levels.
