Women on Wheels Indoor Turbo Training is a 6-8 week indoor cycling programme that has taken place for 5+ years within LSP. It has so far taken place in 2 locations- Bawnmore and Cappagh.
This programme is delivered by a trained cycling instructor. LSP provide the turbos, so all you have to do is bring your bike! Sessions take place once a week and range between 1-1.5 hours. The main focus of this programme is to improve cycling skills, knowledge and confidence on the bike. Topics such as gear changing, safe cycling and preparation for road cycling will all be covered throughout the programme. A range of intervals are completed throughout the class, providing a road like situation, where participants are completing hills and sprints for different times and distances. This is all completed to music. There are often bodyweight exercises and stretches completed post cycling session.
