Community Groups, Organisations & Minority Sports Physical Activity Small Grant Scheme 2022

Introduction

The Community Groups, Organisations & Minority Sports small grant scheme will provide funding to support these groups to return to sport and physical activity following the various lockdowns during Covid. Sports clubs are excluded from this grant scheme as each National Governing Body (NGB) of sport, has secured funding to support their own clubs. Minority sports clubs, who do not have paid staff in their national organisation can apply to this fund. The maximum amount that can be applied for by any group is €2000.

Who is elligible to apply?

Limerick based Community Groups, Organisations & Minority Sports, who deliver sport and physical activity opportunities in their local communities. This scheme was designed to support community centres, men’s shed groups, youth organisations, community-based centres, community walking groups, Go4Life and active retirement groups, scouts & girl guides and minority sports i.e. Dragon Boating, Pétanque, Ultimate Frisbee, Lawn Bowls, Underwater hockey. Commerical Organisations / Individuals are not elligible to apply.
