

Webinar on Effects and Impact of the Menstrual Cycle On Your Physical Activity
To celebrate Women in Sport Week 2023, we are hosting a webinar on the on Effects and Impact of the Menstrual Cycle On Your Physical Activity.
In this talk/webinar our guest speaker, Susan Sheehan, will walk you through the four phases of the menstrual cycle.
We have varying levels of energy at different times of the month, our physical strength is affected by which phase we are in, our emotional responses and reactions are influenced and our mental capacity is also impacted depending on where we are in our monthly cycle.
In this one hour talk we go through these phases, how they impact nutrition, sleep, physical exercise and emotional and mental well being. Susan will offer tips and advice on how to bring your body back to balance, understand your symptoms and how to address them and optimise your physical activity and sports performance so that you feel more in balance all month long.
This talk is for everyone – girls, women and those working, coaching or living with anyone who has a period and menstrual cycle including those on hormonal contraception..
Outcomes:
– Understand the whole menstrual cycle and the four phases, not just the time of your/her period
– How your appetite and capacity for physical activity will vary according to which phase you are in
– Learn how to track your cycle so that you can see your trends and varying your life according to your body and cycle
– As a parent or coach understand women’s cycles and energies so that you can support them now and in the future
– Create balance to support your cycle and flow with it with more ease
