Getting Limerick Active
The Dormant Account Programme has been running since 2015 supporting multiple initiatives, programmes, and community activation facilitating engagement in physical activity. These initiatives have both an educational component and an enabling component to engage identified sedentary populations. The fund has both current and capital expenditure capacities which can really enhance existing facilities to be more accommodating of physical literacy interventions.
Limerick LSP has had a successful relationship with Dormant Accounts and Sport Ireland over the last five years and has proven to deliver on the key outcomes and objectives that underpin Dorman Account Funding.
